About Us

JEMM Standard Poodles is located in the beautiful Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida area. We are a large family, with four children, who actively assist in loving and socializing all new puppies. Our puppies are raised in our home and they are accustomed to noise, commotion and lots of love and attention. They are also groomed from 4 weeks of age to help them get used to a lifetime of grooming. All breeding dogs are tested for Standard Poodle health issues recommended by CHIC before they are bred. All health tests must be passed clear and normal before any litter is bred. I offer a genetic health guarantee on all puppies that I sell.

All JEMM poodles are sold on contracts; pets are sold on limited registration and must be spayed or neutered and show dogs on co-ownerships only. All puppies are sold up to date on shots and with a current health certificate.

I obtained my first miniature poodle, Cocoa, when I was 10 years old. My parents chose a poodle because I suffered from allergies. He was the best dog, a kid could have, as he was my best buddy and protector. He inspired a lifelong love of poodles of all sizes. Also, around the same time in my childhood, my grandmother acquired two standard poodles. I was impressed with their intelligence, athleticism, stable temperaments as well as their grace and beauty. It was a dream of mine to own a standard poodle of my own one day. I feel very fortunate to be able to live with, breed, show, groom and train these magnificent dogs.

I deeply enjoy owning, grooming, breeding and showing this beautiful and amazing breed. I have been involved with showing poodles in AKC conformation for 3 years and I have been training poodles for obedience for 2 years. In addition, my daughter competed in AKC Junior Showmanship for 2 years. If your child or grandchild is interested in competing in Junior Showmanship, and you purchase a puppy from JEMM Standard Poodles, my daughter and I would be happy to help and advise your child or grandchild. In addition, when you purchase a puppy from JEMM Standard Poodles, I want to help to resolve any issues that may come up with your poodle. I am happy to advise my puppy buyers on training/behavior issues that may come up at various stages of their dog's life. And if there is ever a reason that you are unable to keep your puppy, I want to be contacted to help you to find the puppy or dog a new home.
